New Alcoa truck wheels to cut weight, fuel costs

????

My tare weight only tells them how much they can put on me. I'm still paid for what they put on.

Your tare weight minus your gross weight is what you get paid on, when hauling by the weight. The lighter your tare is the more net you can get on, the more money you make..

Yeah that is entirely what I said. I was only pointing out that I am not paid for my tare weight. Just what they put ON, which IS my net.

My Bad, I said paid on tare I meant net, But you did say you fill your fuel tanks, Why? If you run local I would only put the fuel in I need per day. More money in your pocket.

Nothing is worse than getting loaded when your tanks are empty, filling up, and hitting the chicken coop. I speak from experience on that one. DOH!

I do it all the time in Michigan...as long as my scale ticket from the plant says I am 80 or under...But I have crossed a few times over 500 to 800 lbs..They dont look at us bulk tankers very hard...

I crossed a scale in Nebraska and heard the dreaded "Driver! You are 650 over on your drives!" Thank goodness I was able to adjust the tandems.

I'm OTR, can go everywhere and anywhere. Leaving from Charlotte today to pick up in Martin's Ferry, OH to deliver in Sebring, FL.

I'm gettin loaded with FULL tanks! My tandems don't slide... only the 5th.
