Mercedes-Benz unveils first electric heavy-duty truck

A little more than a week ago, Tesla announced its plans to introduce an electronic heavy-duty truck. However, Mercedes-Benz beat Tesla to the punch.

Daimler Trucks presented the Mercedes-Benz Urban eTruck on Wednesday in Stuttgart, Germany.

It will have a range of only 124 miles, so it is being touted more for city use than long hauls.

i'd like to see some companies buy into that BS as miles goes.

every single LTL company i ever worked for, every city garbage company i ever worked for, those miles will be done in under a half day's worth of pick ups and deliveries. what does the driver do then, call for a tow truck??


i think they had better up it to at least 500 miles per day, before they even think about putting them on the sales floor.
