47 cent per mile for Student Drivers. Wow!

Up to 63 cent per mile for experienced drivers. With tarp pay and other incentives they should be clearing six figures easy.

Insane passengers and Insane drivers also put a beating on those. COVID lunacy also helped nothing.

Also, Uber and Lyft being under scrutiny as either being employees or contractors further complicated things.

Racking up miles on an expensive car for hit and miss income on it never made a lot of sense to me anyway.

So there's a bit if validity in the criticism of work in general in that working just to do so it's sort of dumb.

I know. I've had jobs alongside people who worked more than they think.

Someone asked me if everything was okay and way too loudly I said, "Yup! JUST COMPLETED A LEASE AND IM WAITING ON MY WIFE TO GET HERE AND PICK ME UP."

Uber is offering bonuses to get their drivers back. But so many that Ubered have horror stories about how Uber treats its drivers badly, so many of them won’t come back.

IMO, It checks all the boxes of independent contractor.
Do you set your own hours? Check.
Do you use you own vehicle? Check.
