Looking for advice on Drop-Off facilities

Hey Guys, I've been reading through this forum for a while now and there are lots of informative discussions!
Being new to the industry (less than 2 years), I am trying to get a better understanding of wait times and amenities at drop-off facilities.
It seems like there are wild swings in what to expect.
I'm looking for input on how folks out there handle dealing with facilities?
Resources/tricks / stories, all are helpful.

Target distribution centers and grocery warehouses typically have long wait times. Other than that, I make a habit of trying to be at an appointment 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to the appointment time.

Any specific questions you are looking to get answered?

I'm really interested to know how other folks find out what to expect from a facility they haven't dropped at before. Beyond just calling ahead and asking!

Bigger answer is Google Satellite and Street View for the logistics of getting in and out, Google Reviews for how much it sucks being there, and ignorance is bliss without the aforementioned.

I don't ever call a place and ask if they suck. I might call and ask how to best get in and out.
