Looking for a CB

OK, I'm a local guy who never did have to hit the road so never had to get a CB. Well, company wants me on Line-haul, NE Ohio to SW Ohio, and don't provide a CB. What do the vets here recommend as a quality, not bleeding over folks, CB? I ran a set this morning with no communication with my fellows and felt almost naked. Don't like it, need one quick. Thanks.

A good basic cb is a cobra 25 or 29 ltd classic. Can be had at some trucks stops on sale for as little AS $69. You will want a decent antenna such as a Francis 5 ft fiberglass antenna that is already pre-tuned and you can pretty much plug and play.If you have anymore questions just ask.

yea id get a cobra 29 LTD. bout 100 bucks in a truck stop. better to buy a new one then to buy one from a driver. you may end up putting a hunred dollars in it to fix it. and get yourself a good antenna. like a wilson 200 and some good coax.

i second the cobra 29 ltd. its a good reliable radio that wont break the bank.

You probably already have a radio by now, but I would go with a Uniden PC78 rather than a Cobra 29. Same price; better radio.

not really. their the same on inside same board same

internal parts. 78 will prob recieve maybe a 1db or 2db

better but both are awsome when modded right

only way it bleeds over channels is when guys are running

way to many watts, thier am modulator was clipped

or they had some super whacky pack installed volting
