Well i been thinking about getting a 20 thread, to share the things I learn on the Texan roads, but I been lazy...

Nothing going on right now, just wondering if I should use my time to go get a movie from redbox or just stay here thinking about it.

My 20 right now is Hutto, Tx and if everything goes right I'll be heading to College Station, TX... twice, for two rounds of course base for an oil patch.

Fun times.

Well today i was getting ready to do my thing and drive but i didnt feel like doing anything so i found an excuse to fix my truck.rps20140509_155517.webpso that little black hose cracked amd was leaking air and keeping the gates from opening.

Turns out the cables for the switch in the cab got cut because the were rubbing against something. Fixed that.

Then i decided to fix the battery box before the ended on the high way.

Long story short, the truck killed the power to everything and there is no juice, thanks to the Engine Protection System.

At this point it was like 4 p.m when it started raining, so I gave up and went home.

On the good side, the gates switch is fix, matter of fact, its the only thing that works right now:mad:

After 3 years of college i would love to go to his university, ill pass spanish with flying colors, the other two my take my five minutes:biglaugh:

@mndriver my exaust clamp under the muffler got disconnected once and boy did i had fun with my jakes

The pipe is $250. There is none to be had locally. 1 in reno, 38 in Tennessee. Should have it by Monday noon.

What's really ticking me off is I am under load and this delays me 3 days and really screws things up.

Where are at you at? Mexico? You should be glad it didnt burn anything else.

I would say you should had checked your truck on the daily for loose or deteriorate parts but at this point :deadhorse:

I stated I came down bozeman pass. That would be Montana.

It did not fail because of parts failing. It failed because of poor workmanship from a shop that recently replaced a cracked exhaust manifold.

When was the last time you went under your air filter and grabbed all your exhaust fittings. Crawled under your cab and grabbed all the clamps.

Or stuck your hand behind the exhaust manifold to check for exhaust.

Cabover is best for that purpose because they can put the entire front end of the truck on the wall without having it sticking 8 feet into the room.
