What's going on with gas.. the last couple of days people here are lineing up at the pumps, long lines and alot of gas stations are running out of gas.. has anyone heard any more bad news?
My guess from previous reading a month or so ago is that it is a manipulated/created shortage. They had talked about backing down production due to surplus when the demand went down, both here and outside of the U.S. This way people will panic and we can continue to be gouged if we buy into it. From all of the previous lies, manipulation and deception, I have a bit of difficulty believing the little boys crying wolf!

Most of Nashville is out of gas.. been all over the news the few stations who have gas people have been waiting in line for an hour and a half or more.. fights and scuffles have broken out and now there are police at some gas stations.. this is absolutely crazy..
Just like in the 70s when I was in California. Fights in Fuel lines, people putting THEIR locking gas caps on others cars and causing more strife.
There is only ONE way to really get the People going and that is for the power Companies to shut down specific Grids in this Country.
WE got a small taste when NYC lost power due (in '07 or '06) to someone flipping a switch or "throwing" a Breaker.
Shutting off the Electrical Power for a mere 3 days and there WILL BE PANIC because so many People haven't a clue how to live w/o their Computers, T. V.s, etc..
I like the ending to the movie Escape from L. A. where Snake (Pliskin) entered the World Code of 666 and shut down the Planet. I could deal with that.
There is only ONE way to really get the People going and that is for the power Companies to shut down specific Grids in this Country.

I can't help it but i think it is kinda funny.. people act like we're not going to have gas for a while..they are bringing their gas cans and their only making it worse.. heck I'm sure most of these people could wait another day or two to buy gas and there would be more..lol..

It's akin to the people that get all flustered because of some news on the Tele or Radio about some POSSIBILITY of a storm bringing Rain or Ice or Snow and these people have to go get all the Bread and Milk at stores.
It might Snow for ten minutes so we best stock up on Bread and Milk and make sure we have enough Fuel in our vehicles because one never knows.....what lurks in the shadows.

I want to share with everyone here on this forum the attempt, and possible progress, of resolving issues between The American Driver and TACU. We have reached out to Charlie Claburn (TACU of NY) after the lastest round of attacks upon the good people here.
Attacks upon myself and my brother have never been of any concern to us personally...only the detrimental effect it has upon all involved in trying to get something positive done for our industry and our country. It is for this reason we have reached out in an attempt to bring an end to these unprofessional actions by leaders of that organization. We have been met with agreement from Charlie Claburn about the need to address this issue and the importance of our two organizations to come together in the fight for professional drivers and American citizens. Much has been discussed and actions are being pursued.
Communication has begun and there is positive action being relayed to us from Charlie and others, and we are hopeful for the success of this endeavor. Action must now come from their organization, demonstrating their intentions to be of a true nature, before The American Driver can proceed with any efforts of joining forces. I would hope everyone can understand our concern for action on their part before we can proceed any further.
My brother and I have high hopes for a resolution and that we may begin to accomplish big things together for all involved. We, The American Driver, remain solid in our belief this is bigger than any one individual, or organization. That we need to unite as one to accomplish the task at hand. But we also maintain we can not condone such actions, which specific leaders have been pursuing, as positive actions towards our endeavors as a nation or single force. We must rise above these unprofessional, and detrimental, actions. My brother and I (The American Driver) and Charlie Claburn (TACU of NY) are attempting to do just that...correct the destructive nature towards both our organizations goals.

Screw TACU and that drunkin idiot Mark, he and that group has caused more damage to our goals than the trucking companies or brokers have!
That stunt they pulled on this site the other night was the last straw for me what have they actually done anyhow besides call people names,threaten people, and lie about their accomplishments?issed:

Charlie Claburn is the organizer of a large group in New York. They adopted the title Truckers and Citizens United of New York last May before my brother and I (The American Driver) stepped away because of the destructive nature of the PA's leaders. As I understand it...each state is it's own organization. Each becoming a member of an umbrella organization (TACU). As to who is really in charge of TACU, I am not exactly positive - I do not know all of their committee rules and by-laws. But it is obvious at this time that Mark Kirsch is the director of the national chapter. And therein lies the problems we all see.
Our communication with Charlie Claburn has proven to us there are many members of TACU which are in agreement there is a problem within their leadership ranks, and steps are being taken to correct this issue. Without going into details for obvious reasons, I can say this...if the action discussed is carried out, the current problem will become part of history and everyone can then carry on with our efforts in a positive direction.

I am in complete agreement with your assessment, and fully understand and respect your position. But the problem does not ring true throughout the members of TACU, and thus warrants an attempt to do something about this. I, nor my brother, wouldn't feel right if we did not try to do something. We feel it's in the best interest of all to at least attempt to correct this destructive nature effecting all of us. If we fail...we can at least stand up proud with the understanding we did make an effort.
