J.B. Hunt pays out $10M in bonuses to drivers, techs

J.B. Hunt Transport Services announced it paid nearly $10 million in appreciation bonuses to front-line workers on Friday. The Lowell, Arkansas-based company said the payments went to company drivers, maintenance technicians and eligible hourly employees.

“This year, our drivers and front-line employees have gone the extra mile to honor our commitments and meet the needs of customers,” said John Roberts, president and CEO. “We wanted to express our gratitude for their dedication to making J.B. Hunt the industry leader it is today.”

Curious as to how many people meet that eligibility status. That would determine the actual average payout to each employee. Assuming the bonus is also inline with what position the employee holds within the company itself.

29k employees, 20k are drivers. Pull out those hired after October 1 and it's likely somewhere around an average of $500 per employee. Doesn't mention how it was divided up in regards to years on the job, but I would imagine that those there 10 years would have gotten more than those there less than 1 year.
