Until further notice, tractor-trailer traffic is NOT permitted on the Iowa/Nebraska Route 2 Missouri River bridge.

Tractor-trailers are being detoured from I-29 using U.S. Route 136 at Rock Port, MO to cross the river at Brownville, NE.

Going to be closed a month or so. Doing it just to make construction easier.

I don't think I'd want to be anywhere near the posted detour, that's going to be a cluster in Auburn. I think I'd just run US 36 over to US 77, at least on days with a lot of truck traffic.

Edit: Pondering this further, I'd probably just run 36 all the way to 81, and stay out of Lincoln. 81 is 4 lane now, and 77 is under construction in Lincoln, plus you have to go thru Beatrice.

Anything updates on this before I get to York exit..

GPS route uses this route but now planning on bailing out at York and taking 81 into Kansas to I-70 instead to avoid that
