International LoneStar named truck of the year by truck dealers
4/20/09
American Truck Dealers has named the LoneStar its first ATD Commercial Truck of the Year. The LoneStar was chosen by a judging panel of journalists from leading truck publications in North America, including Land Line’s Senior Technical Editor Paul Abelson.
The announcement came during ATD’s 2009 convention in Washington, DC. The LoneStar beat out the Freightliner Cascadia, the Kenworth T660, the Mack Titan and the Peterbilt Model 386 for the honor.

Im not sure what i think about the lonestar.

Growing up on a farm we have had lots of different international equipment and trucks, and they have all been pretty good. When I started trucking the first tandem axle tractor I drove was an 86 IH. When I started driving for someone else I got into Kenworths, and Pete's, and I sure do love the look of a w900, or a 379.

Ive never been in a lonestar, but I sure do think they arent very pretty on the outside! I can see how they would be a great otr truck too.
