  • Walmart’s move to driverless with Gatik will test the full potential of middle-mile autonomous delivery while the second test route will assess the technology's capabilities over long distances.

I'm wondering what the minimum investment is in that Gatik company.

I told myself I was done working extra. I've been doing it since late September and I'm pretty burnt.

Buuuuuut...if I can stack away enough to make a healthy investment and double or triple my return, I can retire and care so little i will forget how to care.

I think this is exactly what Walmart drivers do. They all run a two mile route from DC to the store and it replicates the average day of a Walmart driver.

The last sentence of that very short article actually says that but I guess few people made it that far.
"they" also said, a vaccine would not be available to combat covid, till mid to late 2021.....and here it is, right now.

anything can be ramped up.....and walmart has the funds to do so.

First to go will be linehaul drivers and companies that have had the same routes in place for literally 70 years.

Not irregular route carriers, which even as a private fleet we tend to be.

But keep talking. Everyone is an expert on Walmart. 🙄

It doesn't matter who loses their jobs first, because they will all be competing with you for years. It will drive down wages across the board.
