After getting annoyed at my current job over the past few months, I have decided it is time to do something else. I almost went this route a year ago, but chose a local linehaul job instead.

Needless to say, driving a worn out day cab every night and pulling old piece of crap doubles just isn't for me.

So, I am going to talk to the terminal manager on Tuesday. Got a friend that works at this place, seems to be a pretty good gig. Not sure if all tank companies do this or not, but they basically go out to deliver, and always deadhead back, so the hometime will be very consistent.

The HazMat company I used to work for did this all the time..but we were dedicated to one certain chemical company..Anyway, good luck with the new venture...

Best of luck to you Moose. You still thinking about teaming ? Let us know how tuesday goes. I always thought hauling tanker would be cool if it was hauling food grade .

Not teaming, at least not right now. Not totally ruling it out for the future though, pretty much depends on how things go with this company over the next month or so.

This will be mostly hazmat chemicals.

So i guess you got your hazmat back on your CDL then. You going to run all 48 or just that region there?

Yeah, I went yesterday and took the test.

It is a 48 state carrier, but with most of the loads being dedicated, won't see all 48.

I officially fired U.S. Foodservice yesterday, so if there is anybody in South Arkansas that wants a job pulling wore out crappy doubles in a piece of crap non maintained daycab, give them a call :)

I will be going to training on Monday in Houston, then hitting the road with hazardous chemicals following right behind me, so look out :beep:.

Not sure why, but I have always had an interest in pulling a tank, but just never did it until now.

Actually, I would rather be sitting at home, riding my 4 wheeler, hunting, and fishing 24/7 with the wife, but I'm too broke to retire :)
