Freightliner How to replace recirculation air filter

I have a 2002 Freightliner Century Class S/T. I need to replace the recirculation air filter, but the maintenance manual shows a diagram with the cover and the filter but does not say where it is located. It only says for instructions, see Section 60.08 of the Century Class Trucks Workshop Manual. Can someone help, please??

the panel in front of your knees on the passenger seat needs to be removed. The top panel just pulls out, but the bottom panel needs to be unscrewed.

Thanks, mndriver. I took that panel off but just didn't see anywhere that there was a cover to remove for the filter.

the recirc filter isn't much of a filter really.

The HVAC filter though is outside of the cab and next to the air filter.

the recirc filter I clean every spring and fall.

The HVAC filter I replace the same time.

That is the "recirculation filter". It is the course media behind the knee panel. It's not much. But it can be cleaned and reused. It's like a furnace filter.
