Although, today i got insanely po'ed because my double trailer wouldn't park and then the latch came off and i couldnt re-attach it and i got so mad lol. then i ditched that contract and for some reason it auto exited out of the game so then i stopped playing for a bit. lol

First, in preparation, make sure you keep your driving record perfect. Practice with any equipment possible. Secondly, if you don't want to get a back up education, you could start by being a rider or contractor with a moving company driver - know anyone in that sector of the industry?
In regards to O/O - I would recommend being a company driver for at least a year first. Most companies will require it anyway. Above and beyond, statistically most accidents happen within the first six months of driving. If you are going to have an incident, do it on someone else's dime! Being an O/O right now can be difficult b/c of rising insurance and fuel prices over the years. Keep an eye on that. Save money for a big down-payment. The other disadvantage of o/o is NO paid vacation or benefits. Some companies do provide health insurance options and bonus programs, but not very many. Also, maintenance can be expensive when your truck is out of warranty.

If you slide the tires they can make you pay.
So befor you take a truck do a complete walk around and write everything down.
If you turn a truck in trashed you might pay for it to be cleaned out of your last check.
If you tick them off they could and most of the time will d.a.c. you...

I think usxpress has volvos.All their trks are nice and roomy.But I personally don't look at how nice the trk looks.With the way economy is and how hard it is finding a company these days especially the ones with exp,the prettiness of the trk is the last thing I look at.As long as it passes safety and runs thats good enough for me.

I've been trucking for 15 months. It's better than going to work every day. I spend lots of time just listening to the radio and keeping it between the lines. The money's ok and it's pretty simple and stress free. I drive around the Boston area in heavy traffic most of the time so I keep in the second lane and stay a little slower than most of the traffic. It's easy on the stress level to stay out of the fight.
I had my own business for the last 20 years and the stress there was not worth the trouble. Trucking is not the most challenging and glamorous job but it's an easy modest living.
For advice: drive a little slower than you need to. If you do the math, driving all day as fast as you can, weaving in and out, taking a chance on an accident or a ticket is just not worth it.

I did not say that at all.Show me where I said that.Im simply saying no matter what the make and style of the trk is as long as it runs and safety ready then take it.My trk isnt the prettiest and only one bed.But it gets me where I wanna go and runs great and making the money.More then ive ever did with these big companies with pretty trks.But of course that's your call.You go drive for a company with a beautiful trk and i'll see u sitting at a truckstop waiting for a load while im rolling.
ill remember this always. lol but yeah good tips dude stress relieving does sound nice right about now. xD
and pat im just keepin the conversation rollin' haha i did my homework on the volvo VNL670 and know they are very reliable lol unless its a companies then u gotta get it checked first xD

mrmawker iv given u good advice but heres my best go to school listen to these drivers im not alone here. go to school. however if this is really what u want to do i can t squash ur dreams but like these other drivers said once it gets into ur vains you ll never b the same good or bad i don t know i would never want my son oe daughter to get into this these guy s arn t kidding and they haven t even told u the whole story alot of drivers don t make it home my best friend died on the road,but if this is really what u want to do i wish u the best but i hope u stay in school end up drivin a beemer pissed off with the trucks that r holden u up from seeing ur future wife and kids
