Has anyone heard good or bad about Shaffer

I am looking to get back out on the big road, and Shaffer is one of the companies that are really interested in having me aboard. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the company? I've checked them out on the company website, and they, along with their sister company Crete, seem like very sound companies.

I worked for Crete for about 6 months, before leaving from OTR driving in favor of a local linehaul.

These companies share terminals and I talked to these drivers quite often. For the most part, they were all happy. I think this is one of the better companies out there.

They may have some dedicated/regional stuff for you, something to look into.

They do have a dedicated hauling minute maid out of Michigan to Eastern PA but I think I am going to hit the long haul. being home every week for a 34 hr restart sounds good and all, but I've been down that road and I seemed to always be tired leaving the house and never got caught up on my chores that needed taken care of when I was home. I've run the long stretches and seemed more relaxed with running 2 weeks at a clip or longer. Seemed like the home time was more of a quality home time when I could take 3 or 4 days in a row off. I would get more done around the house and still be rested up for another stint.
