Trucking Regulations: FMCSA announces ELD public meeting on device specs

A public meeting on electronic log technical specs is set for 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 9 at the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C.

The notice announcing the meeting says the agency will discuss the technical specifications in the ELD final rule. The agency called the meeting to help manufacturers produce devices that will comply with the regulation, according to the notice.

This will be devastating to the small.carriers. and one truck owners. What is OOIDA doing? Seems their is silence from them they need to be attacking this from the monetary expense it will.cost. Over a billion dollars to the trucking industry.

Only for those who refuse to haul for rates that make it possible to run legal.
 
Is it that simple? Boy why didn't I think of that. We will.raise our rates to.our customers I wonder how that will.work out?
