Flywheel bolts

I have an N14 that snapped all 6 flywheel bolts, all 6 have a grey finish were they broke. Tranny, engine, driveline all appear to be fine. What am I missing, why did all 6 break at once??

Usually they get cracked from shock load. Then break one at a time over time.
