Factoring companies

Can't believe you guys picked on me while I went back to bed.

Someday you'll ask me to be a moderator and I'll give you guys all warnings and points. I'll be like a stealth ninja moderator. You'll never see it coming.

Laugh now little people!

I've been keeping my one good eye on this thread and have decided that ole Big Dummy needs to put the high beams on this subject.
First off, my advice to skateboards friend would be to switch to propane. Factoring companies have become somewhat controversial here lately and as is obvious from posts in this thread, very misunderstood.
Now if it's o-k with my fellow drivers here I'd like to start a convoy of knowledge down a road I like to call the "realityville expressway". Big Dummy will be at the front door leading you boys and girls through this maze of misunderstanding. Like any other Swift driver we will be in the hammer lane the entire time so if I get going too fast just holler.
In layman's terms "factoring" is a process used to extract natural gas from deep below the earths surface. These factoring companies drill way down deep and "factor" the layers of rock holding the natural gas. Certain chemicals are pumped into the well also and it is these chemicals that have been at the center of controversy. Some say these chemicals poison the ground water, the factoring companies claim they do no harm.
Now I don't know what this has to do with driving a truck but if it were me I'd stay away and not get involved in this whole factoring business.
Now Big Dummy is gonna go ahead and take the next exit, comfortable in the idea that any other driver in this convoy of truth can go ahead and take the front door.
And one more thing, not to sound like a smart ***.............but man you guys were waaaaaaaaaaay off. LMAO

I was at the TA. Pretty much a crap hole. When I left I drove to the Pilot across the bridge for fuel. Just made it in with all the trucks and their invent-a-spot parking.

Tell it to TA. Unless it has changed the fuel and shop receipts say Greenville, and their website does as well.

Dang Pilot has like 4 parking spots.

OOIDA is B+ rated. They try and weasel out of all claims. Progressive has lots of restrictions depending on the drivers experience so brokers don't want to deal with them because their corporate office has to get involved to make sure they are covered.

My friend has 100k cargo and that price includes his truck and trailer with full coverage. He has the optional coverage like I do also that has a wetness clause and a bunch of other goodies. Him and I also have coverage that pays us our freight bill if a load is rejected and the cost to unload the freight and other costs associated.

My policy was way up there the first year and came way way down the second and third year.
A friend has been an independent insurance adjuster for years. He has the Alaska operation of Frontier Adjusters. Another friend has owned a fairly large insurance adjustment firm in Alaska. I know because when I was a banker in 1983 and 1984, I loaned him some money -- the banks money (don't ask me too much about banking other than commercial loans as that's all I did). Both of those guys (with an aggregate of 70 years of insurance adjustment experience) hate Progressive.

That's one of my favorite routes 59,24,40, 81 all the way from the house to Pennsylvania.
I don't like monteagle and black mountain.
