it was in the news...truck driver......the news is always right.
we should not have whack jobs with PTSD on meds, driving trucks, flying planes, or operating trains.
they'd be better served working in other less stressful jobs, where the likelihood of snapping is less.

You need to learn to read. That “yahoo news” article says nothing about him being a truck driver. And they said Nebraska police shot him but that’s not true either. It was a federal railroad special agent from BNSF.

I think my time with those is for the most part over, I’m not medicated. I have a pretty peaceful existence other that arguing with the tinunicorn. The only thing that ever really happens is when there’s a loud boom I duck for cover. Instinct training takes over. People think meds are a cure all and they aren’t. They are meant to be used like a crutch is used to mend a broken leg. You have to learn new coping skills and implement them as second nature into your life or, you end up sitting on the edge the rest of your life.
if my grandson @Electric Chicken did his job and do this for me, i'd not have bothered.
but to me, i believe that anyone suffering from PTSD still should NOT be driving or operating any heavy equipment, especially when i saw the list of meds that many are on, that list was included several posts ago.
as it is now, we have hopped up drivers on other illegal drugs, and many out there are driving drunk. now add into the foray of someone with the potential to snap, if he misses his meds dosage...that's carnage we just do not need to see, not add to the long list of anti-trucking groups to use against us.
this is true (about the drugs) but doctors hand them out like Halloween candies.
then you get those, that get addicted to those drugs.
if you say that YOU are fine, good for you, i'll support YOUR decision to continue to drive, but it still does not take away my over all opinion on those that suffer from PTSD and are a walking, driving, ticking time bomb....
