Well, ya, if it was advertised as THC free, and he thought he was only taking CBD that doesn't cause a "High" but the product did in fact contain THC and suffered termination and a financial loss because of falsification of contents, I think he should be compensated, and the company should declare the THC levels on their packaging. IMO
I don't know if they test for CBD. I know they test for THC.

I just remembered about this being a topic of discussion a few years back and thought I would post it. His biggest issue is, now the Clearing House has this information on file. I hope he got a substantial amount of money, because he's basically out of trucking.
With alcohol being so much more dangerous than left over THC in the body, yet you can buy alcohol in a truckstop convenience store.

True enough alcohol is way worse than weed by every metric IMO.
IMO, weed/THC should be taken off the drug testing, umm, test, because it does not prove impairment. There needs to be a roadside test that proves impairment and not just usage.
And I don't even smoke weed and that's how I feel about it.

Sarah's neurologist told me that CBD has no known health benefits by itself. It needs a small amount of THC in order to "activate" it.
The amount of THC required is very low though. Not enough to get anyone high, but probably enough to fail a drug test.
Truck drivers should avoid all CBD products for that reason. Especially since proper product ingredient labeling seems to be optional these days.

I'll just stick with naturally grown weed. No lab grown stuff that has government meddling in it.
Because I don't stay stoned all day and night, I smoked while employed since 2012 and always passed randoms. I just like a mild buzz. I can't function properly if I smoke too much. I do get very creative though as far as troubleshooting issues with things. I just see it 'out of the box', so to speak.

Very little and only at home. I equate is as one of life's little pleasures. An ounce will last me a couple of years. That should tell you how little the amount is. It stays double vacuum sealed and stored at -10F. It really cuts down on the alcohol consumption.

I never used to consume alcohol. When drug testing was instituted, I gave up the weed and later started drinking vodka. One day a buddy came up with some weed and I took a few hits. It was like stepping back in time. Oddly at the end of the next day they called me for a random. I was a nervous wreck. I passed though and continued with just small amounts maybe a month apart, Still kept passing randoms. I was happy, work was happy, so rather than push it, I just kept it to that level.
I don't like not being in control of my faculties be it from weed, booze or anything else. I was never into pills, needles or anything else. I only had one other friend that did things like I did and he's still alive. Those of the group that branched out and experimented and got caught up into other things are all dead now. As the saying goes, moderation is the key. I've only been falling down drunk 2 times in my life and I hated the feeling at the time and later on. So, I remain a good boy when it comes to recreation.

If Im trucking I just dont do it because a failed pee test kiss your CDL goodbye basically..
Sure ya can do treatment get "re-certified" cleared for duty again but that Dirty Pee test still remains on your file and no company is gonna wanna touch you except maybe a "Mega-Carrier" if ya lucky.
At home not trucking yeah I smoke weed help me stay off the "Booze" which I have a "Real Problem" with.
I cant even drink anymore because Ive reached the chronic stage of "Alcholism" ..
Smoking weed I dont go off the "Deep End" like I do when Im drinking.
Drinking I just cannot do it anymore not even a beer or Ill be drinking a whole bottle vodka everyday again before I even know it..
Took my last drink in July been sober since..
But I still smoke pot

My "Sponsor" at the "A/A" meetings he says I am not really "Sober" & Clean ..
Went to a meeting he was there & out the door after the A/A Meeting he said smoking pot is the "Marijuana Maintainence" Program..
Being "Truly" Clean & Sober is "Nothing" at all dealing with "Life" on "Lifes Terms" no matter what ya dont drink booze & ya dont smoke dope "Period" thats his way..
I need him as my "Sponsor" hes my Ticket or foot in the door entire Alano Club where I am at doing "meetings"..
Get the feeling if I keep smoking pot even stone cold "Sober" from "Drinking" & 'Boozing" he is ready 2 "Dis-Own" me around the Club if I dont play it "Straight" the whole entire way

Quitting drinking and only smoking weed is what they call "California sober". I had heard that term before but last week I was listening to a talk radio show about "California Sober". Lots of people are using weed to quit drinking.
If drinking is a problem and weed is not, then it's all good.

Yeah you pretty much have to leave the trucking industry entirely if you wanta smoke weed.

Aviation too. You need a piss test to pick up garbage and patrol the ramp at any airport.
I was thinking about something part time to get out of the house. That was one of the reasons I retired, rules of stupidity. What I do at home is my business as long as it doesn't affect my job performance.
