Does my med car make me look like a liability?

Fresh out of school with zero experience here. Back in April when I got my DOT physical I was clueless and uninformed. I foolishly marked down on my questionnaire that:
I drink infrequently
I've used marijuana in the past two years
I suffer from an anxiety disorder
I used to suffer from depression
I used to smoke

I am about to attend orientation with a company, but am worried I might get sent home because of what my med card says about me. Considering getting a new physical and not marking any of that stuff this time around. But I'm worried the company might be get suspicious as to why I got a new physical just days prior to attending orientation and getting another DOT physical with them. Should I be worried, or am I just overthinking this? I am completely healthy otherwise and the med card says I'm fit to drive a cmv and I would pass any drug test no problem.

The only form you are required to provide anyone is form MCSA-5875. Medical examiners certificate

the ONLY thing it tells anyone is who certified it and when the certificate expires.

no one should even be seeing the MCSA-5876 which is the medical exam report form. This is protected information under HIPPA. This is the form you answer all those questions on.

If the 5875 is valid and gives a date out to two years, the. Go with it. The doctor has said you’re medically qualified.

I’ve been places that told me if I had the long form I wouldn’t have to go do another physical, as everyone i have dealt with required having the long form for the employee file. You didn’t have to give it to them, but if you didn’t you had to go take another physical.

Coercive hiring then.

the employer should never see the form. Just the certificate.

You guys got it a lot rougher than we do with medicals. 2 years 1 year 6 months nickel and dime you to death.

Ours is one every 5 years form goes straight to the incompetent government employees that do your licensing. I think it's 3 years after a certain age. The companies have nothing to do with it other than pulling your records occasionally which they do anyway.

Mine actually helped when I renewed mine this year though. I had turned it in like you're supposed to but come to find out ding a ling at the counter didn't get it entered in because my license number wasn't on the top and he didn't bother to catch it while I was standing right there.

Couple weeks later I get a (text/call don't really remember).....oh hey your medical is due. A little calling around I figured out what ding a ling didn't do and we got it faxed in before they downgraded my licence. It's a good thing the office does pull abstracts from time to time.

I've only been driving 6 years and I've gotten 6 physicals so far.

1 for my permit.
2 for USX 6 weeks later
3 for legit renewal
4 for Schneider even though 3 was almost brand new
5 for shoulder/re-entry
6 for legit renewal (DDI & XPO)

Yeah our Medical report goes to the MTO. My company wanted a copy the first time. Sorry, sent it to the MTO, I don't have a copy.

The second time around the company reminded me along with MTO that my medical was due. The company wanted a copy for their records. Not a fucking chance are you getting a copy of my medical form.
But we need a copy.
No you don't you just need to know I am licensed.
But we need to know for our records the next time your medical is due.
Oh, in that case no problem. Here is a copy with everything redacted except for my name and the date the medical was done. Have a nice day. :thefinger:

You have the right to refuse, but they also have the right to not hire you for refusing. Some companies require the long form, some don't. Most of the companies that I have worked for have required the long form.

If they require it, you will have to sign a release allowing the employer to get a copy of the long form.
