Two multivehicle crashes occured on I80 in Wyoming yesterday (3/1) near Crestone Junction, at the 181 and 184 mile markers. 3 are now reported dead, and up to 30 others transported to area hospitals. Up to 140 vehicles, mostly commercial trucks were involved in the two accidents. The highway remained closed between Rawlins and Wamsutter Monday morning.

Google traffic is showing I80 closed in both directions from Evanston to Cheyenne at 1500 CST today. The highway has been closed for 52 of the last 154 days.

I would assume the 3 dead are in that suv if there was anyone in the rear or passenger seat yeesh i hope not. That almost reminds of the pickup where all you can see is the guy alive wedged between the 2 trailers

I'm not a violent guy, in any way, shape, or form. Seeing these videos just fills me with a visceral urge to do bodily harm!

Running into stopped traffic at those kind of speeds, that's not an accident. It's flat-out vehicular manslaughter , and they oughta do time.

Is this the same accident from the videos earlier this week? 3 dead? I get it we all need to make money, we all have mouths to feed, most of us have an eld. But none of us need it that bad and people wonder why there are so many nuclear verdicts in this industry. Some jurors some day is gonna remember watching a video like this and go yeah this company needs to pay 20-50-100 million (even though they are not suppost to) and I cant blame them either

I drove past there yesterday thankfully it was 45 degrees and mild winds..

You can still see abunch of wreckage near milemarker 183..

One was a pile of freight another just a big pile of smashed parts everything from bumpers to grills smashed hoods etc...

Looked almost as if a bulldozer just pushed it off to the side in a giant pile to get it off the road

a mile or so up from that was half a crumpled up trailer with the tandems but the other half was either moved or completely destroyed

When I drove for CR England I hated this stretch of highway. Even during the summer it’s dangerous, because too many idiots out there don’t know how to let off the throttle and slow down.

This is why I’m so glad that I no longer have to run out that way.

Or just "envious" other trucks can go faster...

I'm stuck at 65 myself ....Prime and England are about all I can actually PASS anymore

Rest of the time I roll about 63/64 let the Turtle Races pass me by

I'll even back off afew mph just let somebody go cause I get sick of the constant Turtle 🐢 races

Yeah, no. Envy had nothing to do with it. Try again.
