Commercial airliner stolen from Seattle, crashed

That's a pretty avg mentality for pnw. Considering how many serial killers was raised near Puget sound that's just a small surprise

Small planes have keys, but nothing this size. It does take some know how to start one, you'd have to have at least rudimentary knowledge of how it works to even figure it out. But it'd be nothing for an aircraft mechanic like this dude.

I was going to say the same thing. Looks like he spent a lot of time with flight sim software.

A favorite prank to pull on new maintenance trainees in the Air Force was to claim you'd forgotten the keys, and coerce them to walk back to the shop, visit the line chief's truck, walk to maintenance control, etc to "get the keys for tail no. such 'n such airplane." Frequently they'd get sent all over the base on a snipe hunt searching for non-existant keys. We had helpers!

:biggrin-2:

Or a bucket of prop wash. A yard of flightline. A can of radar test targets...
