The part number on the sensor is 194-6726 which after several searches appears to be the same as 224-4536. I have ordered this sensor from three different vendors and every one derates the engine and will sometimes throw an engine light. The truck runs fine with the original sensor but the leak is getting worse. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it one of those dumb things where it needs programmed for the new part number/style/readings? My dad's Dodge Ram needed programmed by the dealer just to recognize the fog lights he installed, which makes no sense. These manufacturers are that absurd though.
Are the vendors selling OEM products?
If you enter your serial on shop.cat.com there will be several sensors listed. No 194-6726 but there is a 194-6725 among others. Parts.cat.com has 194-6726 but you need an account to see prices.

Based off the information given, best I can find out is the sensor changes out part number again to a different style.
Without knowing what codes it throws or actually laying hands on the truck its all I got. Usually when sensors change up its for a reason.

See that adapter harness included with the new sensor? That is likely because it's from a different supplier that used a different pin out assignment for the wires. It's also highly likely the 3 sensors he ordered previous needed one as well but either A) the parts guy missed the upfit or B) he researched it himself and just ordered the sensor part #. This stuff changes in the blink of an eye, has for quite awhile and that is why I laugh at guys that claim parts books are the best source of information when looking up parts. As far as your fog lights, they're likely multiplexed with an identifier address built in and you must program the ECU to recognize them, otherwise nothing happens. @pushbroom has proven himself many times to be a wealth of knowledge with access to current software that is up-to-date and accurate.

My dad has a 3126 in his RV. He took it to mechanic who put the levelers down to raise it up a few inches. Then the mechanic walked right under the bumper and reached up in their and fixed some sensor.
It may have been by the air compressor. He said the mechanic was full of Caterpillar knowledge.

He was on a ramp so that helped, but he's not very tall. His caterpillar knowledge is why we use him, it's unmatched.
