Bison announced the acquisition in a statement Monday. Their ownership began last Friday.

Hartt Transportation was founded in 1948 by Delmont Hartt with a single truck designed to haul gravel and pulpwood and had remained a family-owned business for 73 years.

One of the largest trucking companies in the Northeast, Hartt runs more than 360 tractors and 2,100 trailers.

According to statements from Hartt and Bison ownership, Hartt’s employees are expected to be retained.

I read about this earlier on Truck news.

It looks like all the big fish are buying up the smaller fish to become super mega fish.

I am not sure who authored this but it is dumb.

Of course they will be retained. What are they going to do, fire all the drivers and rehire them again?

All the employees will be retained until the dust settles, then out go the office personnel and the trucks get rebranded.
I hear ya, but where will they find replacement drivers?
The only thing I can think of is fire the current drivers and the hire them back.
If that backfires, they have no drivers.

Won't fire the drivers, they will simply become Bison drivers. I would say after a background check, but from the comments yall make about Bison, a background check probably isn't required.

I know when TFI bought us out the first thing they did was give everyone a raise.
They wanted to keep the staff that made the company something the company that TFI wanted to buy.

I wish someone would buy me out so I could give myself a raise. They need to appreciate what I have not yet become but intend to.

Have you ever driven in snow?
No.
Have you ever seen snow?
Not in real life but once on T.V.
Can you fog a mirror?
Yes.
You're hired.
