I think the GoPro Hero 3 is probably the most popular, based on the fact I see them all over the place.

Or maybe not, .... since I've seen them at Walmarts too, so they're probably made by 10 yr old slaves in China.

I have the "Dashcam 2" and like it a lot.

I think insurance people can usually figure out what happened by looking at various marks, and still pictures and that a camera may screw you as soon as help you and they're a bad idea.

For YEARS we've been working to keep government out of our cabs as much as possible, and you sheep are letting them in without an actual thought about the repercussions.
