Truckers driving through certain parts of Baltimore better pay attention to signs warning them of restricted streets. Beginning March 19, the Baltimore City Department of Transportation will implement photo enforcement on at least six truck-restricted streets.

Trucks more than three-quarter ton are restricted from entering several streets across Baltimore. According to the city’s DOT, some of these narrow streets include historical homes and infrastructures. Additionally, parking is tight. These streets are already marked with signs alerting motorists that trucks greater than three-quarter ton are prohibited.

Those must be some narrow ass streets ( I didn't bother to read the article........natch) because I have come outta Dundalk port and went straight across Broening Hwy on a 5 ton! street ( Dunhill) at 198,000 to get to Dundalk Ave., all under the watchful eye of Balto county 5-0 and the city engineer.

Of course I didn't tear shit up so maybe that's the diff.......

Easy money for Baltimore. Truckers are too busy scanning for and dodging potholes to watch for signs.

I’m surprised that there wasn’t a quote in the article that read “the money will go to the schools”. :biglaugh:
Those crooked pukes love to trot that one out whenever they get a chance.

The first thing they ought to do with the cash is resurface Broening.
Throw enough chain to satisfy the regs and then throw 4 more to get you to 95.

Seriously, manufacturers could use that as a rough terrain proving ground for their pickups.

Agree. I hated Broening.
Everywhere I had to pick up or deliver in Baltimore was usually a pothole with pieces of road in it. Seemed like it anyway.

Sounds like the road I live on, before they tarred and chipped it.

I'm 7/10ths of a mile off the main road. It used to take ten minutes to get my car down that stretch. It was so bad that sometimes it was easier just to cut across the grass into the soybean field in the off season when there are no crops.

Looks like it's been concreted. This is Broening by the marine terminal according to Google. Looking west.

****in' hell........ woulda killed to ride on that!

Had to wait til I was done.....just another reason to hate Balto/Dundalk.

Maybe they repaved it using all the money they're saving on law enforcement.

Can’t be that. Balto cops are claiming overtime they never worked.
I can’t think of any money sources the city would use for a new concrete surface. :dunno:

Whole thing was probably an accident.

Dont sweat it.
It looks good but is still rough as heck.
My dog could have poured it better.
And they didn't fix the tight curve.

I've only been to that port maybe a half dozen times. Only thing about it that sticks out for me is the broad who runs the phones at the place my company keeps hiring for escorts is a condescending hateful C U Next Tuesday.

It’s a good thing they got their police department all fixed up so they can now concentrate on REAL issues.
