The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has called on policymakers across various levels of government, asking that members of the trucking industry be among the groups of essential workers receiving prioritized access to COVID-19 vaccines.

On Dec. 1, ATA sent letters to the White House, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, President-elect Joe Biden and the National Governors Association, stressing the essential role of the trucking industry.

“Our workforce represents a central and critical link in the nation’s supply chain and will play an essential role in the imminent COVID-19 vaccine distribution process,” wrote Bill Sullivan, ATA’s executive vice president for advocacy. “As the trucking industry is called upon to deliver vaccines across the country, it is imperative that truck drivers have prioritized access to the vaccine to minimize the potential for supply chain delays and disruptions.”

If truckers are moved toward the top of the list as essential employees, will you get the vaccine if not ordered to?

I'm not anti-vaccine, but I am anti new vaccine. I don't want to be a guinea pig on something new being shot into my veins, so I will pass for now.

Haven't been tested, but I think I had it, so probably immune anyway.

I would want military, first responders, high risk folks, healthcare personnel, and high density population area folks to get it first. Even then I doubt I would as I would rather get the virus and recover from it. If I don't recover, so be it.

One of my concerns is how long it will last. They say if you get the virus, you are only immune for something like 4 months. I can't see a vaccine giving you any better immunity, so a vaccine would have to take place 3 times a year in that case.

Even that is unknown. I heard recently they think you may be immune for 6 months. It was a year went down to 3 months and now up to 6. They should just say the truth “we got no clue”

They'll just deprive people of things we need to survive. They'll say you can't enter any government or commercial buildings (grocery stores), can't renew your DOT physical so you can't put food on the table. The globalists who own all the insurance companies will make sure no business can afford to employ you, etc.

I said a new thread was coming, and here it is. :) This could be the first vaccine (that I know of) that may end up mandatory for adults. Up until now, you can't really force vaccines on anybody, but you can refuse to allow children to attend the schools that your tax money pays for. But...

Remember that. Unless you opted out. That was the last time I was vaccinated and it was required for school age children. And the small pox vaccine was required back in the day.

I got the chickenpox when I was a young adult, about 22 so they say I'm now at risk for shingles.

Will I get this Covid shot. If I were in a high risk group yep. But I'm not so nope.

Just glad that the herd immunity will come much faster with these highly effective vaccines in circulation.

Booster shots you still have a choice. It may be a prerequisite to go to public school, but there are other options. A forced mandate leaves you no option.
