APU vs. Opti-Idle

As it stands, I am planning to have an APU put on the new truck I am getting.

I'm curious, though, whether anybody has went with the Opti-Idle route lately? I will have the feature on the truck, because it costs virtually nothing to add it on, but working on a last minute decision whether to go with the APU or not.

I truck once with it once an old Columbia

On/Off...On/Off..On/Off All-night is really ANNOYING

Rather just leave the motor running constantly because I can get used to that

If it was a good idea it would have taken off a lot more than it has.

When the guy next to you gets pissed enough to sneak a whole roll of paper towels in your fuel tank, let us know.

Had a guy who was polishing tanks next to me on the truck reach into my apu and flip it off as I was getting ready for a shower.

Can’t say I was none to happy with him.

I decided to sit on my apu as it wasn’t starting too healthy at the time due to the electric fuel pump not working.

Made a nice skeeter fogging cloud and the guy gave me a nasty stink eye when I wouldn’t do anything to remedy the situation.

His first mistake was touching my equipment in front of me.

Not sure what this has to do with opti idle.
