Did your light finally become constant? Mine has been on the last week or so. Usually it clears itself after a couple trips. At home getting the engine light checked out now. Third time for it to come on, plus trailer developed a small leak, so dropped them both off during my time at home.
No, it comes on for a couple days, goes off for a day or two, and then repeats the cycle. Being a DFP code, got it put into the shop to avoid it becoming a derate issue out on the road under a load.Did your light finally become constant? Mine has been on the last week or so. That's odd. If I was wilding like you I'd want on it ASAP for the same reason. No, it comes on for a couple days, goes off for a day or two, and then repeats the cycle. Being a DFP code, got it put into the shop to avoid it becoming a derate issue out on the road under a load.
Now, the dealership is baffled and don't know what to do about it. Waiting on Navistar to advise them.
I hope this is it for the new truck bugs. The computer actually thinks the DPF is missing from the truck. Very strange code.
turns out, it is a known issue and will be a programming fix. They haven't come up with the reprogram to fix it yet though. Safe to drive, no derate concerns, or at least that is what they told me.No, it comes on for a couple days, goes off for a day or two, and then repeats the cycle. Its probably just a couple missing lines of code in the ECM.well since they haven't the fix yet what else could they tell you, keep pouring the fertilizer into it and hope it doesn't leave you stuck in the desert somewhere
Agreed. It's an international though. Remember the Maxxforce fiasco.could be but since it is a known issue you would think they would fix it posthaste

Yep. That scares lots of people away. There's no way I would have jumped into this powertrain year one.Agreed. It's an international though. Remember the Maxxforce fiasco.
Yes I'm aware of the irony that my pickup has an international engine. It's from a better era.![]()
Your numbers are insanely impressive.Yep. That scares lots of people away. There's no way I would have jumped into this powertrain year one.
I need to enter all of my fuel purchases to get an actual average, but I am still amazed at how well this thing is doing. I'm adjusting to the lower power compared to my last two trucks, but the fuel economy is a perfect trade off.
I was supposed to deliver a load yesterday in Bentonville, AR. The load got rejected because the warehouse was full. They finally got a new delivery location set up for Springfield, MO. I had nothing important to do, so I left out this morning with plenty of time and ran the truck 55mph, just to see how it could do with a heavy load and the rolling hills of I49 and I44. Made it to Springfield at 12.3 mpg.
No intention of driving that slow on a regular basis, but it was a good day to see what the fuel economy result would be.
