2018 gardening thread

I have neglected my garden this year, with all of the other hullaballoo going on. Next year's garden may not be as gorgeous as last years because I'll be starting out fresh in different ground about 45 minutes south and 800 ft higher in altitude. The ground there has been hayed for the last 20-odd years and I don't think much has been added back to the soil, so there's a lot of work to do.

This year's garden was ready to pop, but I just didn't work it as hard as I should have.

Got some great pickles, though
you could try and plant Rye grass, that'll put nutrients back into the soil.
it is easy to plow under come springtime as well.

but then too, i do not know how large an area you now have...

good luck either way at your new home!!

You might need to rent a tiller to plow that under and bring up richer soil.
