2017 Scania A/C issue

Hi,
New to this website, hopefully you'll be able to help me out here
I have a weird problem with my 2017 Scania 580 V8.
When I'm turning my A/C on it works as it should and freezes me but once I'm changing the temp a bit it enters a very long delays...
I'm not sure what could be the problem and I was wondering maybe one or some of you guys are familiar with this?

Although we definitely like having European truck drivers on here to share experiences with, we're mostly an American and Canadian site. We don't have Scanias here.

Well, I guess maybe the same issue can happen in other trucks other than European ones right?

I've just noticed that it happens regardless of changing the temp. I guess the first time it happened by accident while I was changing the temp so I thought it was connected.
Anyway, let me start over.
While driving, all of a sudden my A/C stops working. The vents still blowing out air but its not cold.
It happens on occasions so I'm not sure what could be the problem.
I hope I've managed to be a bit clearer as English is not my native language

Not knowing anything specific about the Scania or even today's trucks with computers controlling everything, I would speculate it could be excessive refrigerant temperature or pressure shutting it down via a sensor. Or it could be a problem with the computer or even something as simple as a corroded electrical connector on the compressor clutch.

One thing that's easy to check is the condenser. It should be located behind the radiator. If it is full of dead insects or dirt, it would not be able to cool efficiently and that could cause a high refrigerant temperature. A computerized system with a refrigerant temperature sensor would shut down until it cools.

If it's covered in dirt or insects, you can clean it by spraying it from behind with a water hose.

If it’s like a Volvo, you likely have a button that lets you turn off the AC.

literally turn the ac off and let it defrost the evaporator coils until you feel the vents blowing ambient temperature air.

is this something that just started or been happening for a while?

My Mack controls don't always immediately change from one setting to another.

The panel box was already replaced once probably for the same complaint. I just work around it by fiddling with it on and off. Lol.

Just a warning about washing out the radiator, AC condenser and such. I have witnessed the devastation of using a pressure washer on them. The advice to wash them out is great, but note that he said water hose, not pressure washer. Anything much for pressure will destroy them. Use a garden hose with no nozzle, just a good water flow.

If you notice it cuts out on hot days, when pulling hard hills, that could even possibly be a built in safety feature to help the engine run cooler, by not running the AC as well. Not saying it is, just that it could be.

They don't change right away on Mack/Volvo.
Today I had my A/C fan die out, like no power after a regen. The good thing with computerised trucks is.. many things can be fixed by turning the truck off and letting the computer reset.
The A/C fan worked fine after I did that and it is a good thing too. Today was stupid hot and humid.
