Only 1/3? Its an interesting poll/study highlighting how we don't take good care of our teeth even if we have dental insurance. Medicare doesn't cover dental visits and Medicaid doesn't have much in way of dental benefits. We keep this up, the British might not be the only ones sterotyped to have bad teeth.

well my teeth are certainly not looking like the pics. but i may fall into the bad teeth category by the fact my teeth crack, and break. i cannot eat hard foods anymore. like pretzels, as i have broken a tooth and i had a big bill for a root canal and post/crown. my molars break off a cusp or 2. maybe it was the way i used to chomp down on hard foods as a kid, like maybe ice cubes, and hard assorted nuts, and candies?

Dental is not covered here under OHIP. You may have some coverage from your companies insurance if you are fortunate enough to have benefits.

A long haul driver that I used to work with had bad teeth, nicotine stained and whatnot.
I ran into him is the summer and he must have some good benefits where he works now, because his teeth look so much better.

I was fortunate both my parents had jobs with excellent benefits.

I didn't go to the dentist for fifteen years. Never had problems always brushed my teeth. Then one day a couple years ago I saw some plaque on the backside of my teeth so I made an appointment and got a cleaning. Been getting regular cleanings since and now my gum hurts above my front tooth. WTH are they doing to me?

me too i bleed when I go to the dentist but i think overall I'm doing better going regularly.

I think my gums are hurting because I find myself grinding my teeth a lot here lately. This job I'm doing now has a very demanding schedule and I'm stressed out about it. When I get stressed I grind my teeth.
me too. I also grind my teeth when I poop. Luckily that's only once every two weeks for me LOL

Is that a healthy poop cycle? I was talking to an electrician on the job the other day and he said he poops once a week and his doctor said that some people are like that. I told him to get a second opinion and to increase his fiber intake. He doesn't have a healthy diet it's full of simple carbs. I don't know if simple carbs is a real term that what I call processed food.
