I am buying a 55 ton Triaxle RGN 110k in 12ft. I have a tandem axle truck with 40k drives How much max weight would I be able to permit on this configuration?
I have a brand new freightliner came without axle(s) installed. I can't get the darn driver side axle to go in. It goes all the way and barely onto the bolts, but feels like it's hitting something. I looked inside, and there are things in the way like keys or metal things. How to move them?
Whats the difference between a 12k steer axle and a 13200 steer axle? Is it just one has 2 leafs and the 13200 has 3? Or is there more to it than that, perhaps stronger spindles, beefier axle all the way across?
Engine built by Fitzgerald, not a factory reman.
I started tracking the fuel economy in this truck when it was brand new, my goal at the time was to focus on fuel economy and get the truck up to 9mpg.
I managed to track it the first 40k, and had an average of 7.41. This was with no real...
Hello everybody,
At my office we are in the process of developing a system to calculate the axle load of trailers before they are loaded. This is to avoid fines in the future because the government (in Belgium) is becoming more strict.
I was wondering if some of you might have an axle load...
Looking to turn the KW into a 4 axle but having trouble understanding oregon's length/weight chart. I'm stretching the frame so wheelbase is to be determined by lift axle placement in relation to the steer axle and rear drive axle.. the truck will also be double railed from the middle of the...
Guys, I'm thinking of getting a 2009 FL DD15 truck with 10 speed and 2.64 ratio. I'm wondering if these would do the job for most of the flatbed hauling. I'm not thinking of doing any really heavy haul but have std. 53' 102" flatbed to start.
I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

16 ply @Injun
We carry APU certifications that allow an additional 600? Lbs on steer axle. Most of the time we scale steers at 12,500+/- so the 16 ply is our logical choice.
I'm now purchasing another set of Michelin steers to replace the Goodyear crap. 10 tires all doing the same...
Minnesota has signs that say "axel weight limit 9 tons" for example
Apparently a 10 ton route is considered a truck route
I'm curious how this works; Is it because standard trucks have 5 axels - 4 axels in back so 34000/2 would be 17000?
I have a tapered block on the front axle. I want to remove the block to lower the front end a little. Can I just remove the block then go to an alignment shop and have them correct the steering angle.
I have an over size load going into Arizona via the 10 I the morning. I will stop and buy my permit and I have to roll across the scale. Well I'm exactly 40lbs over weight on my trailer axle and I can't adjust the load. The place I picked up didn't have a scale so had to scale elsewhere. I'd...
Little confused here. Below are details to a trailer I saw but Im confused as to how much weight I would be able to load and permit on this trailer and my tandem axle truck that weighs 19,000 lbs.
trailer empty weight is 16,000 according to registration
gvwr is 102,000
frame capacity 60 ton
6...

If you are driving in mostly dry weather (with occasional rain), then what is the advantage, if any, with having 2 drive axles vs. having the front rear axle driven and the rear most axle a tag?
If seems to me that most trucks do not need two drive axles?
I'm thinking of putting air ride on my front axel. On my 99 pete Has any body out there done it. I was wondering about the leaf springs do u keep both of them or pull the bottom leaf out
