Using your truck in disaster relief

How many of you guy or gals give your time to haul goods into devastated area?

I actually do a lot of disaster relief. I've been set up with GSA/FEMA for several years and usually get a call or e-mail if anything is going on and they need help. It's hard sometimes to tell your normal customers that you need to run away for a few weeks at a time but I'm a small operator and they usually understand. I can tell you this.....be prepared for anything and everything. If they tell you you're going to Houston...you'll probably wind up in Miami. Good news is that if you are flexible they pay extremely well....if not they'll never call you back.
