Skippy Peanut Butter Recall

I'm glad I eat Peter Pan... but, then about two years ago almost all PB was pulled from the shelves due to similar problems.

Skippy peanut butter recall: Salmonella scare over 'reduced fat' brands spans 16 states:

Peanut butter fans may want to "skip" eating Skippy's reduced fat brands.

The New Jersey based Unilever United States, Inc., the manufacturer of Skippy Peanut Butter products, is recalling two of its brands - Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread and Skippy Reduced Fat Super Chunk Peanut Butter Spread.

The food "may be contaminated with Salmonella," the company said in a statement. "No other Skippy products are affected by this recall."

Adams all natural, the kind you have to stir before use, because they don't put anything in the jar but peanut butter.

I've tried the all natural stuff, but, I have problems with it.

First, the peanut oil separates from the solids and it takes time and lots of efforts to re-blend the two.

Second, if you're in hurry for a PB sandwich, and you don't complete the above mentioned re-blending, you have one dry PB sandwich.

Third, I don't eat PB fast enough to buy the kind without preservatives.

And, yes Pony, honey is almost as good as chocolate.

Naahh, don't worry about contamination if it's been cooked. 160* and above usually does it.
