Seeking exploded view for hood latch assembly 2004 387 Peterbilt

The boss is repairing the hood latch system. That latch assembly was locked up and the 2 collar pin seats are destroyed to the point that he can't tell how they go in.

Does anyone have a link to an exploded view to help install these parts (Part Number: 13-05122)?

I don't know where you will find one except by an exhaustive search of the internet, or by paying a visit to your friendly local Peterbilt dealer.

I do know these remote hood latches are problematic. The biggest problem seems to be that they wear out and won't keep the hood closed, and then the hood bounces open at the worst time.

When they malfunction and you can't get the hood open you should still be able to reach up under the hood, over the front tire and pop them open, or disassemble them enough to get the hood open to make repairs. It helps to have another truck to look at so you can see what needs to be done, since you will be working blind.
