Freightliner Blower question

I have a 2009 Freighliner Classic xl. Recently the Blower in the cab started powering down (not blowing as hard as it should) and the sleeper blower would stop completely. Checked the blower relay, and it was so hot I couldnt touch it. If I shut the truck off for about 45 min. It would come back on and work fine for a while then do it again. The mechanic looked at it, replaced the ac clutch relay, and it worked fine for about 4 hrs. and then started it again. Any ideas? He said the blower motor is fine, and so is that relay.

You have a short somewhere in the wiring. I'm not sure if there is a particular area that is problematin in their wiring as I don't own a Freightliner, but someone else may. Look starting at the connections to the blower motor and trace them back to the relay and the fan speed speed switch even. I would look between the blower to the relay first myself.
