Trucking News: CH Robinson CEO makes a pitch to immigrants to address shortage of truck drivers

Yeah everyone I know who's been at it more than about 5 years is already basically done with the whole thing.

If you're still cheerful you're new. 😏😃
Yeah, even when I first got into this racket, I was like fucking really? These are the hours? I was a local guy.
Late nights and early mornings and blood shot eyes and I was a young buck back then.

I try to not work a lot of hours anymore. 10 is my comfortable normal. It's a lot by normal job standards but when the law says you can do 14, it's a short day.

I worked 8 today just like yesterday and most office pukes and it's been nice. Really nice.

I work a 9 hour day now paid hourly. It's enough!
I work a shift 06:00 to 15:00. It's as close as a driver can get to having a normal job.
By 15:00 come hell or high water I am out of the truck. If the truck catches fire and it is 15:01, not my problem. Not even calling the fire dept.

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, clock out no evil, scurry away no evil.
