Help needed,i am working on a volvo D16 the cylinder head was crack,i have change the cylinder head, the problem i have ,there is no timing mark on the flywheel, i turn the engine manually and i insert a rod in number cylinder and bring # 1 piston to the top,but when i start the engine i am getting a clicking sound, my question is, when i bring # 1 piston to the TDC would be when the piston stop move or when it about to move down, thank you all for any help,

OK,guys i have got through with the timing problem,i am just posting this if any one ran into problem, with no timing mark on the flywheel, the position i set the piston # 1 is when the piston is about to move down, the clicking sound i was getting i think my timing was too early, and the piston was just striking the valve.
