Two trucks from Morse Moving & Storage of Mount Pleasant will take part Saturday in the World's Largest Truck Convoy, a fundraiser for Special Olympics.
The trucks -- a Mid Michigan Moving & Storage North American Van Line vehicle and a Morse Moving & Storage Allied Van Line vehicle -- will meet about 25 other trucks at Petticoat Junction in Alma before heading out around the Mount Pleasant area.
This is the first year Morse is involved in the convoy.
''Doing things like this is so rewarding,'' said Dave Lewis, general manager of Morse, which also has helped by transporting equipment to the Grand Traverse Hotel in Traverse City for the last two winter Special Olympics.
Another convoy will operate in Kent County and a third in Ingham and Jackson counties.
In all, organizers expect more than 4,000 truck drivers in 40 states and two Canadian provinces to unite. More than 1,800 drivers set the Guinness World Record last year, when $15,000 was raised statewide and nearly $550,000 nationally.
