Toyota recall

Amazing that most people will take the time to read the owners manual on their actual rice cooker, but never bother to read the owners manual on their second largest investment, a car.
being a former mechanic, i actually do browse thru the manuals, not only the owners, but also the emissions and maintenance...

every so many years, there are changes to the warranty on emissions, and the service manual very often will shorten, or lengthen the oil change intervals, or the recommended oil to use.

only take a few minutes....

and here is actually one example.....

on my toyota, when the outside temps are at or near freezing,

like in this video...you get a snowflake symbol.

so now, i also from time to time, sign in on the "ask a toyota owner" questions website

some gal, asked what did that symbol mean.
someone responded (not me) that it meant it's going to snow.

i responded, the correct way, that it is cold, and all she has to do is, read the owners manual..

unlike these message boards, the o/p never gets back to you....

but yeah, the questions many new owners ask, are in the book.....
