In-Cab Air Release 5th Wheels

Then:

Wow. Just-wow. How much of a ass crack hangin out of your sweat pants, flip flop wearing, Adema legged, ripped T shirt, stinking up the whole place van driver do you have to be to need an in-cab 5th Wheel release...

Now:

Why the hell didn’t they think of this 20 years ago?

I don't see the point of them. You still have to take off the lines and drop the gear so.....yeah. Even with a lowboy you still take off lines.

My fifth wheel has two handles to pull but hell I already got gloves on and it's right there. Really not a big deal compared to finegglin chains binders etc....

It saves you from reaching in. End of the world to not have? No. But it's nice when you do have it. Same way you can get away with no AC, no cruise, no heat, no radio, etc. Just having them makes your work day a little better.

Bah guess I'm lucky. Mine sits so high it's not an issue that's really crossed my mind. They do sit quite a bit lower on a lot of the trucks that pull vans and reefers I've noticed though. Any particular reason?
