August marks the last full month of summer, but plenty of truck shows are lined up. From Utah to New York, there will be at least one show every week in August.
Carlisle, Pa., kicks off the month’s truck shows with the Carlisle Truck Nationals at the Carlisle Fairgrounds on Aug. 5-7. This show is all about trucks: lowered mini trucks, lifted 4x4s, big rigs, SUVs, classic trucks, etc. Tractor-trailers get their own attraction with the Big Rig Show and Shine competition. More than 2,000 trucks of all types are expected to show. Admission is $12 on Aug. 5-6, $7 on Aug. 7, or $20 for all three days.
