Truckers will give the thumbs up to this news: The St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund just got a giant boost from a corporate supporter in the travel center business. TravelCenters of America announced this week that the company and its customers are “banding together again, this time to support truckers in need through the SFC.”

In a press release, the company stated that throughout October across the U.S., employees at TravelCenters of America (TA) and Petro Stopping Centers will offer silicone wristbands to guests. The cost for a “Band Together” wristband is $1; and 100 percent of the net proceeds will go to SCF to help drivers in need.

Customers can purchase wristbands while dining at the company’s full-service restaurant or while visiting the travel stores and fuel islands. Customers will be asked to sign a banner in the full service restaurant in further recognition of their commitment.
