SWIFT getting a little too close to my house with their latest foul up

My son had to get a physical right after the registry went into effect.
I told him to get it done early but nobody listens to me.
:(
A NURSE told him she didn't like the sound of his cough when she checked him for hernia so he had to go see a lung specialist to get cleared.
Then he had to go back and get cleared by the nurse because she was the initial contact.
Of course she was off for the two days after he got cleared by the lung specialist...
:stare1:
He lost a week's work plus he spent $400-$500 out of pocket to get the stupid physical.
What a pant-load!!

OOIDA has a site set up for reviewing those who perform DOT physicals.
It's getting rave reviews and may tip you off to an A-hole facility where they push 'value added' services.

D.O.T. Doc
I just had a physical last thursday, took 2 hrs.It was more thouroughal then ever before but glad she didn't send me to another greedy doctor. She did give me a lists of doctors to see for my cough but unlike some She didn't send me to pay more money I didn't have and not issue me med card.I'm good for two yrs.

VW called.

A driver of theirs did an illegal U-turn about 300 miles from here & got pulled over.

Cop discovered that though he has a valid physical, it wasn't registered with his home state. So he's OOS until he gets home to fix it.

The clinic was supposed to do that as part of the physical.

They were wondering if I can go get his truck and deliver the load.

I was thinking, "what part of 'I'm on strike until you remove the DriveCams" do you not understand?"

But it makes me wonder if mine is registered with Illinois. The last physical I had was done in Fargo and they didn't even give me a copy of my long form until I asked for it. They said I didn't need the long form because they faxed it to the carrier and registered it with Illinois.

I physically took my med card in to Idaho. I don't like taking chances.

When I get an inspection, I still hannd them the card.

We're required to show up at DMV to have ours added here in MO.
We've been compliant for a few years now and I still get asked for my card every time I get inspected...
but I'm sure there would be a ticket if the medical certification didn't happen to show up on the license scan.

I always carry the receipt from DMV as well even though it says it's only a receipt and has no bearing on whether your information is actually available on your license...
because the state accepts no responsibility for doing their damn job after mandating stupid-ass regulations.
Morons.

I asked one LEO why he still wanted my card if it was supposedly worthless.
He said it takes so long to get results from the scan that he just checks the card visually and calls in the license like they've been doing for decades.
Apparently it's on a different system or something because I'm sure he had our safety stats pulled up.

Couple of places around the house are 50-70 range. Ours are paid for here. As well as license renewal, hazmat.......

Why don't they train their damned drivers? Instead of taking the time to make sure these guys can actually drive, Swift buys cameras and everything else to dummy proof the trucks. But I guess you can't dummy proof anything when all you hire is dummies.

I "love" them SWIFT Trucks because they are set at 62 and they EVERYWHERE...

Being set at 65 myself Im often "forced" to HOG the HAMMER 4 miles & miles & miles because some SLOWPOKE wanted to "preserve" his PRIDE...

WELL I just run SIDES until a Swift, Schnieder, Werner, and JB or Prime comes up...

Then he gotta JAM those Brakes n I kill 2 birds with 1 stone

I know a guy whose name happens to be Joseph, not you but a different guy. The guy named Joseph that I know says a lot of stupid stuff. I never thought much about it before, just knew that he said things that were dumb. But here you come and say that "all you hire is dummies". Following that logic, I guess I am going to have to assume that everyone named Joseph can only say stupid stuff.

Yup. I say stupid stuff meanwhile that company has how many accidents? How many fatalities? How much in damage? I don't care you work for that POS company. You fly that flag all you want. Go ahead, more power to you. But the thing is kid, it's been well documented over the years of how bad their training program is, how unsafe it's made the roads, and how much it's cost Jerry Moyes to pay for that. Swift sucks. Get over it.

You may be right, but you are wrong about one thing, I ain't no kid. I am sure that I am older than you, and more than likely just as safe if not safer than you. Just because I work for Swift doesn't mean that I am a dummie or that I am inexperienced. Get over yourself!

Dummy! Not dummie! Proving my point!!!! Lol. Just kidding. But, it's not only Swift. It's England. And Prime. And several companies that barely train these guys. Swift is just the biggest and the most noticeable. Not every driver at Swift is a bad driver. I get that. But, in their case, it's hard not to throw the baby out with the bath water. I've met several damned good drivers with Swift. But I've met even more bad ones. Is that on you? Of course it's not. But it is on the people who run that company. Yes, they're a billion dollar business and much to the chagrin of those who hate Swift, they aren't going anywhere. But the truth is, what happens with their woefully inadequate training program will start chipping away at the stone.
