That about sums it up.I know you and I are on the same page there.
I think @Rigjockey said his first trip was something like- day one, still in Ontario. Day two, still in Ontario
Day 3, how ****ing long is this going to take to get out of Ontario
Day 4, Jesus wept Winnipeg sucks
Something like that
Open deck is awesome! Much better than some of the crappier trucking jobs in this industry.I just finished Orientation with TMC, and I’m starting to drive with my trainer next Monday.
If you want know anything In particular about it, let me know.
My 2 cents about schools:
Only go with companies schools if you definitely can not pay on your own. If you definitely want to get in the business and don’t have the money to get you in. Last thing you want is be chained to a company for a year or more. And there is more about it.
Just don’t do it unless it’s your only way.
Again, I’m just stating too, so
take it for what it worth.
With that said, when I finessed school, I applied with a bunch of companies , just to see what they offer and say.
I had only 2 or 3 that I would go with.
I chose TMC. I also wanted flatbed.
Good luck
If you get your license and want to stay closer home, we always need carhaulers. Just something to keep in mind. We already have one gal works for us. Does a better job than most of the guys.Colorado will always be home. I love the beauty of the rockies and 4 seasons. Sadly, it's changed. To much growth and all that goes with it... Gigantic cost of living and pollution. My family is generations deep here. Alot of us have moved to Wyoming to try and get back to basics.
Its only been very recent that I got to travel. That was done keeping my ex company in the passenger seat. Texas and its beauty surprised me. The people and culture had that honest - laidback feel Colorado used to have.
Just don’t join the snitch patrol.I just finished Orientation with TMC, and I’m starting to drive with my trainer next Monday.

As leader are you saying you don't need any more applicants?Just don’t join the snitch patrol.
You know the douche bags that call saftey because you don’t have your hard hat on the second you step out the truck, or they call saftey because you only signaled 1000 ft before your turn. Or they call saftey cuz your load isn’t secured they way they would. The rats, the snitches that deserve stitches. What’a the snitch patrol..?
I take it your out this way? How can we communicate? If you get your license and want to stay closer home, we always need carhaulers. Just something to keep in mind. We already have one gal works for us. Does a better job than most of the guys.
We have those. I think it's an official group. I've been snitched for not wearing a Schneider issued uniform shirt. You know the douche bags that call saftey because you don’t have your hard hat on the second you step out the truck, or they call saftey because you only signaled 1000 ft before your turn. Yeah I call my safety office on you all the time but alas no accountability.Unlike you, I do not participate in snitching. I take my issues up with the people I have them with.

Every company has this group of douchbags. They go run-tell to management or safety. You know the douche bags that call saftey because you don’t have your hard hat on the second you step out the truck, or they call saftey because you only signaled 1000 ft before your turn. I'll pm youI take it your out this way? How can we communicate?
Testify!Every company has this group of douchbags. They go run-tell to management or safety.
We have a group of them too. They think they are elite when in fact, no one wants to associate with any of them. They keep to themselves.
Unfortunately, It is a fire-able offence to give these snitches stitches. You know for sure they are not going to take their licks with out running to management. They would be calling safety. Help!
Run north south, Brownsville to Texline is 900 miles. Not sure what the exact miles is to the top of the panhandle. I know I have ran it many times and it's a rrreeeeaaaalllyyy long trip.Google says I-10 across Texas is 877 miles. So there you go. Once again I can not cross Texas in a TMC truck, in a single duty day. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
