I was using a Cobra 29 NW and just recently purchased a new General Lee (blue LED) radio to replace the Cobra. The Cobra plug I had wired in my box has three holes, each with a brass contact. The new plug for the General Lee is identical in size and shape with the same three holes but only has brass contacts in the two outer holes, not in the middle one, even though the radio has three terminal posts.
Q: Did I get a bad cord w/the General Lee? Should it have the brass lead in the middle hole also?
Q: What happens if I run the General Lee on the old Cobra plug with the three leads?
Don't want to blow up my General!
