Really. Rand McNally I thought would
clue you in.
Actually, now that you mention it... I suppose, but guess what? Back in the day there were "Thomas Guides" (which could have very well been published by RM)
But I didnt even use those.
I believe the map book that I had (and still have) had a name something like "Gousha".... I know, hard to believe.
... and just so you know, I wasn't mocking your survey. I think it's a pretty cool survey, actually.
I thought maybe you were getting at C.B's as a way of communication, then I got lost in the fact that nobody talks anymore. Can't strike up a convo like we used to in the old days... conversations that might get you 300 miles... 500 miles down the road, with a complete stranger, who totally understood where you were coming from.
One other question that should be asked, but can't be (for obvious reasons) should be: "No Doze" or meth.....or... whatever. But see, back in the day, we would load at Budweiser in Van Nuys and they would give the drivers a free six pack. Surely they were thinking the driver would take it home, or possibly wait til bedtime... but such was not the case.
I knew guys who had things on their doghouse that most "drivers" today couldn't identify.... and shouldn't be able to anyway.
I'm ramblin.... but who cares? Isn't that kind of what we do anyway?
You don't ask about lot-lizards either.. like... acknowledge or ignore (when they climb on your truck)
But, your questions are clean, not the questions from the dirty under-belly of trucking that many never see....Rand McNally
Peace. Out.
