Owner Operators United INC asks State Rep to Resign

I have asked Charlie Claburn, The current NY State Rep to resign from the State Rep Pos. effective today.

Reason for this request is as follows,

When the NY rally was held, it was Co-sponsored by the OOU Inc & the soon to be formed TACU led by Mark Kirch.

Charlie is now the head of TACU as a Director.

Charlie was asked to pass out membership apps to drivers at the rally.

At the end of the rally I phoned Charlie and was told by him that he had collected 80 signed membership app's & the monies for each.

I was also told by Charlie that he would mail them to the office the next business day.

three weeks went by , no app's ever showed up at the OOU office.

I again called Charlie and this time was told the post office had returned the letter with the app's to him, I then called the post office & was told no such letter had ever showed up & had been returned.

I again called charlie, and have tried to call him SEVERAL times since, he would no longer answer or return my calls.

Today another member of the OOU Inc got charlie on the phone and we had a conference call, today charlie claims he was confused and never had any signed membership appp's, he also claim's he just told the OOU office and myself he had signed app's to NOT hurt my Feeling's. "Give me a Break"



I have talked with the board of directors and all agree this matter needs to be pursued thru all means legal.

If you or anyone signed an app & give the app & membership fee money to Charlie Claburn, please contact this office as soon as you can.

We have gotten several calls from people who state they joined at the Albany Rally thru Charlie,

I have asked our staff to research & try & locate these people so we can pursue legal action.

I am one of the people from New York that was at Albany, I for one did not see anyone hand out OOU sign up forms nor did i see any OOU members or leaders there to support this.

Now for this crap posted by GearJammer, you better get your facts straight before hammering on TACU.
TACU has been the only group out there trying to make a difference and also trying to help out people like yourself.

I want to also warn you people that you haven't heard the last of him nor will he forget anything that was said.

Furthermore, I also know that there is a lawyer by the name of Dave something, from NY that works for TACU for free and is working on a case against this website and D. Little for slandering Mr Claburn

Mr. Little I say to you sir, Show proof that Mr. Claburn was ever a member himself of OOU and also the names and numbers of the people that are, or have been calling you to ask for their memberships.

Until there is proof this thread will be considered SLANDER

I for one am certainly interested in seeing the signed application of Mr. Claburn showing that he became a member of this OOU. I have had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman and find it hard to believe that he would have done such a thing. Mr. Little in your letter you implied that he is a thief. I would be careful or what I call a person without having proof. I mean if indeed you received all these phone calls wouldn't you already have the names and numbers of the people who called you. Why should you staff have to try and locate these people. Also why wait three months before saying something ?????

I have been looking into several of these "organizations" and it seems to me and my partners that TACU is actively doing something.

As for TACU being "screwed up"...I find that hard to believe, because if that was the case why do they have such a large membership and didn't they recently have sessions with several appointed officials in DC ???

I have seen any other of the groups posting any rallies, protest, etc.

Well, I am sure the truth will come out and somehow I see Mr. Claburn on top.....

want more proof, stop by my office I will be more than happy to lay it out for you to read.

As i said before, Honesty is the only thing we have, that will gain us in our fight in washington,

as far as Mark kirch goes, We do not now, nor have we ever had a problem with Mr Kirch.

As a matter of fact I have spoken to Mark several times today over this matter.

As far as the membership base of the TACU, we also do not have a problem with them.

Our problem is with Charlie Claburn & the fact that he openly stated he had 80 signed OOU membership's & the money collected for these memberships, and now claims he never had any.

Please note I also use the speaker phone in the office so my staff can hear all conversations.

I look forward to charlie explaining to me, you, and all members of the trucking industry why he either lied or what exactly happened to those memberships.

If you take the time to read the org post you will see we have been try'n to contact claburn ever since the NY rally.

If you feel he is in the right then by all means stand by him.

The board of the OOU has turned this over to the legal dept to pursue.

I do plan to stand behind Mr. Claburn....but you should have never posted his personal address......I am sure you wouldn't have appreciate iti f someone did the same thing to you. I see that you have now edited it and I am happy to see that. I hope your legal department advised you to do that. But it still remains that you posted it and it was avaiable for several minutes and God only knows who got that information.
